How to Copy Trade Lucid Trading Accounts
Short answer: yes, Lucid allows copy trading between your own accounts, and because Lucid runs on Tradovate it takes about ten minutes to set up. Below is the exact flow — connect once, pick a leader, switch on followers — with screenshots from a live TradeDupe setup running four Lucid 50K accounts.

One Tradovate login, every Lucid account
Lucid accounts live under a single Tradovate login. Connect it once and TradeDupe discovers all of them — no per-account credentials.
Per-account control
Each follower has its own on/off toggle and size ratio. Pause one account near a payout buffer or consistency threshold; the rest keep copying.
Protection copied too
Entries, exits and bracket TP/SL are mirrored, and any fill on a follower that the leader didn't make is closed automatically.
How This Workflow Runs
Step 1
Connect your Tradovate login
Name the connection (e.g. “Lucid Accounts”) and authorize through Tradovate’s OAuth page. Your password never touches TradeDupe. Every Lucid account on that login is pulled in automatically.

Step 2
Confirm the accounts were discovered
The connection card lists each Lucid account with its live balance. Leave every account you want in the copy group switched on.

Step 3
Set the leader and switch on followers
Open the Cockpit. Mark one account as the leader source, then flip Following on for the others and choose a ratio (1x copies size exactly). Choose Market or Limit copy mode.

Step 4
Trade the leader, watch the feed
Place trades on the leader as normal. The dashboard shows each fill and how many accounts it reached; the Trades page groups the closed round-trips across all accounts.

Go-Live Checklist
- • All accounts in the group are yours and sit under the same Tradovate login (or logins you own).
- • Leader is the account with the tightest drawdown so followers are never less protected.
- • Ratios set per follower — 1x for identical sizes, smaller for smaller accounts.
- • Followers near a payout buffer or consistency threshold are paused, not deleted.
- • You have read Lucid's current rules for your plan (Pro, Flex or Direct) this month.
Common Mistakes To Avoid
- • Copying another trader's signals into Lucid accounts is not allowed — only your own accounts.
- • LucidFlex's 50% consistency rule is per account: a big day on the leader is a big day everywhere.
- • Do not hedge across your own accounts (long on one, short on another) — same direction only.
- • Rithmic or NinjaTrader-based accounts are not supported; TradeDupe is Tradovate-only.
Lucid's copy trading rules, plan by plan
Lucid runs three paths and the copier behaves identically on all of them — what changes is which rule you have to watch. Figures below are from Lucid's support articles, last reviewed August 2026. Verify on support.lucidtrading.com before you rely on them.
- • LucidPro evaluation — fixed max loss limit by size ($1,000 on 25K up to $4,500 on 150K), daily loss limit on 50K+, 1 minimum trading day, no consistency rule. Cleanest plan to copy into.
- • LucidFlex evaluation — same targets and max loss limits, no daily loss limit, 2 minimum trading days, 50% consistency requirement. Pace wins or pause Flex followers near the threshold.
- • LucidPro funded — 90/10 split, 40% consistency during each payout cycle, buffer balance and minimum cycle profit required.
- • LucidDirect — direct-funded, 90/10 split, 20% consistency threshold and minimum trading days for payouts.
- • All plans — copy only between accounts you own, keep every account on the same side of the market, and stay within Lucid's published per-trader account limit.
Why the leader should be your tightest account
Every Lucid account has its own max loss limit, and mirrored trades move each one by the same dollar amount (at 1x). If the leader is a 150K account and a follower is a 25K, a stop that is comfortable on the leader can breach the follower.
Lead from the account with the smallest drawdown, or set the follower ratio so the 25K takes a proportionally smaller position. TradeDupe lets you set that ratio per account in the Cockpit, so a mixed-size stack can still run from one leader.
What happens on a bad fill
Copy trading fails in two ways: a follower misses a fill, or a follower gets a fill the leader never made. TradeDupe handles both. If a follower is out of sync it is caught on the next leader event; if a follower carries a position the leader does not, rogue protection closes it at market and logs why.
Brackets are mirrored as real orders on each follower, so if the leader's stop is hit, every follower's stop is already resting at the broker — the copier is not the only thing protecting the account.

Cost of copy trading a Lucid stack
TradeDupe is flat-rate — the plan sets how many accounts per connection you can run, and there is no per-account surcharge. For a typical Lucid stack of three to six accounts the Pro plan at $60/month (or $45/month billed yearly) covers it; a free trial is available so you can run it against a live session before paying.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lucid Trading allow copy trading?
Yes — between accounts you own. You can mirror one Lucid evaluation or funded account to your other Lucid accounts. What Lucid does not allow is copying another trader's fills into your accounts or running a signal service. TradeDupe is built for the allowed case: one trader, multiple personal accounts.
How many Lucid accounts can I copy trade at once?
TradeDupe does not cap follower accounts. Lucid publishes its own per-trader account limit on its support site, and it has changed before — check the current number there before buying more evaluations. Every Lucid account that appears under your Tradovate login can be a leader or a follower.
Can I copy from a Lucid evaluation to a funded account (or the reverse)?
Yes. The copier does not care about account stage. Most traders lead from the account with the tightest drawdown so every follower is protected at least as well as the leader.
Do I need to run software on my computer for Lucid copy trading?
No. TradeDupe is hosted. Fill detection and follower order placement run on our servers, connected directly to Tradovate — your machine can be off.
Does copy trading work with LucidFlex's 50% consistency rule?
Yes, but remember the rule is evaluated per account. Because every follower mirrors the leader exactly, an outsized day on the leader is an outsized day on every follower. Pace wins across sessions or pause a Flex follower near its threshold using its per-account toggle.
What happens if one Lucid account rejects a copied order?
Rejects do not cascade. The rejected account logs the event and the rest of the group keeps receiving fills. If a follower ends up with a position the leader does not have, rogue protection closes it automatically.
Are stop losses and take profits copied to my Lucid followers?
Yes. TradeDupe mirrors bracket orders — take profit and stop loss — plus modifications and cancellations, so no follower is ever left without protection.
